Director, Global Indirect Procurement

The Commodity Manager will be responsible for overseeing a team for purchasing, logistics and other related departments. They ensure that all purchasing requests are completed in an efficient, timely manner, while simultaneously working to lower costs, as well as manage inventory and budgets. -General Responsibilities o Manages inventory management and material budgets o Manages analyses of market conditions and trends to predict future supply needs o Manages cross functional team in the execution of medium to large strategic sourcing initiatives and the implementation of category strategies o Responsible for consistent communication with suppliers to ensure timelines is met o Manage interactions between suppliers and functional teams to answer any questions related to any documents o Manages negotiations ranging from Long Term Agreements to individual Purchase Orders Experience / Qualifications o A university degree and 7-10 years of experience o Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members o Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands o Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation o Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results o Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity o Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) o Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers - The Sensata Global Procurement organization is seeking a Sourcing director to lead and direct global sourcing strategies across $500M of Indirect spend categories (Capital/Equipment, HR, IT, Travel, MRO, etc.). Responsible for leading a team of sourcing professionals in category management and strategy development, identifying, and executing productivity initiatives to maximize value while improving service and quality levels. Assesses external market trends and conditions to identify opportunities and mitigate risks in supply, service, or regulatory compliance. Prioritizes and executes an evolving portfolio of strategic sourcing initiatives to drive cost reduction to enable achievement of business unit, functional, and organizational objectives, and goals. Collaborates with key stakeholders and Functional leads (Operations, Legal, HR, IT, Marketing, etc.) in developing and executing sourcing strategies to optimize the value on indirect spend in support of annual objectives. Provides advisory services, such as strategic sourcing, SOW development, and negotiation strategies, to other departments in the purchase of indirect goods & services where Global Procurement does not own the category. Ensure process integrity and excellence through compliance with internal policies and controls. Drives a culture change of continuous improvement and organization excellence. years of experience with 8-10
years in Procurement 3-5 years of equivalent leadership experience Experience in a regulated industry (i.e., manufacturing, automotive) preferred Bachelor's degree in purchasing, engineering, finance or business administration; MBA preferred Experience leading an organization in a complex, matrixed environment Demonstrated experience developing and implementing sourcing strategies yielding measurable business results Manage and deploy initiatives by influence Develop and delivers presentations to Executive leadership Additional preferred skills/
Experience:

Salary Range:
$250K -- $500K+
Minimum Qualification
